Wine tasting
For lovers of good food and wine, the Al San Giovenale di Orvieto restaurant offers a variety of Food & Wine Tastings.
In collaboration with the Orvieto branch of FISAR we have organised a series of mini-courses aimed at providing our clients with the necessary tools to enable them to know and evaluate wines within their local context.
The course is made up of basic elements such as sensorial analysis with a sommelier and the techniques used to optimise the combination of certain wines with the dishes that suit them best.
During the course we will use the so-called “NEZ DU VIN” catalogue of aromas and essences, so that clients are able to trace the particular climatic origins and wine-making procedures of the wines they are tasting.
The knowledge of a wine’s aromas and defects enables the wine lover to understand its nuances to the full.
